Ed Baumstein is the CEO and Founder of SolomonEdwards. With over 35 years of expertise in the finance and accounting professional services industry, Ed is active in the Greater Philadelphia business and philanthropic community.

Prior to starting SolomonEdwards in 1999, Ed was the President and COO of Acsys Inc., a $160 million and 40-office nationwide accounting, finance and IT staffing company that was created and went public through the roll-up of multiple staffing companies including Acsys Resources, where Ed was the President and CEO. He began his career as with PriceWaterhouse.

If you could do anything else as an occupation, what would it be?

Time traveler

What do you do outside of work to relax and recharge?

I’m active in sports (golf and basketball). I enjoy spending time with my family and engaging with the community and various charitable causes.

What is your proudest personal or professional accomplishment?

Personally, raising a family of four children with my wife of 32 years. Professionally, I’m grateful to have the opportunity to build two $100M+ companies and to have provided over 4,000-5,000 people with employment.

What is your favorite nonprofit to support?

In Philadelphia, Master Charter Schools. In Israel, Friends of Ofanim and Temple Mount Sifting Project.

If you could jump on a plane tomorrow and go anywhere in the world, where would you travel?

I would go to my home since I travel too much.

Who or what is your biggest inspiration?

My spiritual life with a deep acknowledgment of the creator in my life.

What part of your work day do you most look forward to?

I like to be client facing.
