Managing Partner Brian Markley Appointed to BLOCS Board

We are pleased to announce the appointment of  our Transaction & Regulatory Advisory Practice leader, Brian Markley, CPA, to the Business Leadership Organized for Catholic Schools (BLOCS) Board.

BLOCS is an independent charitable organization supported by companies, firms and foundations of all sizes in the five-county Philadelphia region. Since 1980, BLOCS has invested in the lives of tens of thousands of children throughout the Philadelphia area, including some of the poorest neighborhoods in the city. BLOCS board members include prominent business leaders throughout the Greater Philadelphia region.

“BLOCS is an incredible organization that makes an impact on the lives of so many children in the Philadelphia region by connecting them with the resources they need to receive a high quality Catholic education. Despite some of the challenges they have faced in their lives, the children BLOCS has supported throughout the years have been awarded the opportunity to flourish in a strong values-based educational system where they reap the benefits of a Catholic education and build a solid foundation for a successful future,” quotes Brian Markley.

Brian Markley serves as Managing Partner of the national Transaction & Regulatory Advisory practice and works closely with private equity firms, PE owned portfolio companies and corporate buyers and sellers executing mergers and acquisitions while also assisting both private and public companies with US GAAP and SEC accounting and financial reporting compliance. Prior to joining SolomonEdwards in 2002, Brian worked in public accounting and financial controllership with concentrations in SEC and regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, and international business.
